Feyre. Her strong spirit and dry sense of humor make her one of my favorite protagonists. I love how her reserved demeanor isn't treated as a character flaw, but a strength - one that she cultivates into a weapon throughout the series.
Rhysand. A man of mystery, altruism, and darkness. A man with a sense of humor and a nurturing heart. A true work of fiction. I love him.
Morrigan. Though her backstory isn't as deeply explored as the former two characters, it's easy to see she is a total badass. Name someone else who could escape an abusive, powerful family to help rule an entire secret city, and look fabulous while doing so.
Cassian. Not only is he one of the funniest characters in the series, he is also the most loyal. I love any scenes involving his warrior spirit, but his less seen softer side is what makes him truly interesting.
Azriel. He is another character applauded for a quiet demeanor. In fact, it makes him one extraordinary spy, but what sets Azriel apart is his kind nature. Yeah, he's capable of torture, but he also gives really warm hugs.
Lucien. Though he was friends with the most abhorrent character in the series, he overcame this affliction and chose the right side - Feyre's side. Eventually. Clever and kind, I like Lucien. But really, who would be friends with Tamlin for that long?
Nesta. I have to admit that her bitchiness can be funny, and even understandable, but it is also incredibly annoying. Not to mention, she was a lackluster big sister to Feyre for most of their lives. Still, I like her. I can't help it.
Elain. Perfectly kind, naive, and beautiful, I found her hard to take at times. Her everlasting optimism is refreshing in a series that can get rather dark, but I mean, really, who is that happy all the time?
Tamlin. The worst. And I mean the WORST. I equate Tamlin to gum stuck to my shoe. Arrogant, self-righteous, controlling, and just plain stupid, he is patriarchy personified. Disgusting. No one tells Feyre she can't be a High Lady.
