Fine Line. The instrumentals, the vocals, the lyrics - I love it all. This song is the epitome of love and life itself. It’s a journey. Each passing measure takes you closer to the grand finale and metaphorically, what love is all about - not the good or bad moments, but the great moments.
Kiwi. I can’t keep a smile off my face when this song plays. No matter how poorly my day goes, I just have to sing along. Harry Styles leaning into the rock genre is to die for. His voice was made to yell-sing about beautiful women.
Falling. This song is one of the most honest pieces of art I’ve ever heard. It’s an unabashed admission of guilt. There’s no pretending not to be sad and there’s no pretending not to be in the wrong, there’s just the sensation of knowing you’ll never get the best thing back in your life again. It’s returning to yourself after a dark period and not liking what you see. And it’s all sung beautifully.
Watermelon Sugar. This song is fun. Plain and simple. The hidden meaning behind his light-hearted words make it all the more memorable.
Two Ghosts. This song gives me chills every time I listen to it. It crafts such a vivid picture in my mind of two people who fell out of love.
Cherry. I love how softly written and composed this song is. It really makes me reflect, even though I don’t directly relate to the story it tells. I love how respectfully the song approaches the topic of an ex without pleading for them to come back.
She. Once again, I must admire Harry as he leans into the rock genre. This song has a fantastic instrumental section, as well as an intense, interesting story about a man longing for an untouchable woman.
To Be So Lonely. This song is so catchy, yet so terribly sad. I love the instrumentals in it and how they fit so perfectly with the vocals.
Treat People With Kindness. I love the positive message behind this song, as well as the catchy, fun way it is told by the music.
Sweet Creature. This song feels like a lullaby and one that I would listen to again and again and again. His voice really shines in it. Well done, Harry. Well done.
